Yay for October!

October starts tomorrow & I'm very excited for two reasons: #1. I start my new job tomorrow & #2. It's the month of my favorite holiday!!!

Online they showed how to make these easy Halloween scary glowing eyes. Very simple to make: you take a toilet paper rolls, cut eyes into it, put glow sticks in them, & place them in some bushes.

As an artist you've got to love Hobby Lobby! While looking for other art supplies I happened to spy these little florence flasks, awesome! Decided to fill them with glow-in-the-dark powder that was a gift from my big brother. Add some earing hooks & voilĂ !

My friend from South Korea loves strawberries & cute things, these are for her.

More Halloween decorations:

Cut strips of neon orange & circles.

Glued the strips to one circle using four strips to make an "X".

Continue to glue more strips till it looks like a union jack.

Then put  more strips in between every strip. You should use 16 strips all together.

For the small pumpkins just use shorter strips & you'll need only 8.
Take two stripes that are across from each other and glue the ends together.
(I found "Tacky Glue" to work the best, or if you're in a hurry you can use tape.)

After all the strips are glued together, then glue the remaining circle on top.

(repeat the same process with the bigger pumpkins.)

Cut cute or scary faces out of black paper & glue/tape them on.

Take green paper, cut a rectangle, roll it up, & glue on top to make a stem.

Some of my time this week has gone to getting my Halloween costume ready, yes I'm that excited! (I should have pictures of it the week of the 26th, early Halloween party.) Hopefully with the new job it doesn't interfear with the blog to much. Have a great time everyone!
