Not Much This Time

So sorry everyone for being late on this one, allot was going on this weekend & I wasn't feeling up to par for the week. This week I should start my training for Jo-Ann's, Oct. 1st is the official day I start working!!! Hopefully I will resist my artistic urge & save my pay checks for more important things! ;) (but I will use some of it for actual projects!) Back to subject: Just one project I worked on this week, sad part is it's not even finished! Here is what I have done on it:

For the body of the project I used styrofoam, used about one third of the flat block.

For the head I used styrofoam a ball.

Painted both the head/body black & let sit over night to fully dry.

(Styrofoam does not paint easily, painting it on thickly with no water seems to do the trick.)

To shape the body, before painting, simply crush it into a cylinder with hands.

For the eyes I painted two big white spots.

Then painted the white spots a turquoise color.

After they dried, with glue, I put clear sparkles over the eyes.

To finish it off I used hot glue to cover the sparkles to keep them from rubbing off.

For the wings I chose the shape of the wing I liked most, printed it out, took wire & traced it around the shape & tapping it as I went to prevent it from bending in the wrong place.

That is how far the project has gotten at this point.

Soooo... I decided to show some cute pictures of my kitty!!!  >^.^<

(Her name is Angel & her back legs are crippled but she can still walk around, just not so easily.)

She's very protected of her phone!

So I found out she loves licking watermelon (weird)!

What was even weirder is when she laid her head on it!

She loves her watermelon!
