*Ooops*

So I forgot how to access my own blog to add more posts, but as you can see I have taken the time & have found it once again! Luckily I've been saving all the photographs of projects I have worked over the last year! Some (well maybe most) will not actually have step-by-step photos due to the fact that I have not been posting them, so I apologize!

So I've always wanted to have a plush octopus ever since I watched Powerpuff Girls as a child, since I am no longer a child (still inside though) I chose to make a Steampunk octopus!

I couldn't find a pattern online that I liked, so I made my own!
(You need to cut out two of the body for each half!)

(I cut out enough to make two octopi)

Pin all bottom legs to the body legs

(You have to hand sew if you use really fuzzy fabrics or minky like these)
(Minky is the one with the bumps all over it, the one I used as the bottom of the octopus)

After you sew legs together then turn them right side out

Then slowly sew the two body parts together, as you do this fill the legs pellon pellets & then stuffing for the rest of the body ( I also twisted eight pieces of wire together so that each end could be put in a tentacle & then twisted together in the center of the octopus)

These are plain black buttons, thought they would make the best looking octopus eyes

Finished product!
(due to the wires in the legs they can bend & twist just like real tentacles!

I have this really nice winter jacket but it had this really weird collar where you could wrap the extra part around your neck like a scarf. Well I already have plenty of scarves & if you don't want to wrap it around your neck it just hangs there all awkward like! lol
So I made it into a ear warmer! ;)

First I cut it off & burned the ends with a lighter to prevent them from unraveling

Then I took extra buttons (painted them silver) & a strip of blue stretchy fabric to make flowers to decorate

I  cut holes in the middle of two flowers (burned the edges to prevent unraveling) & sewed two buttons to the other end of the scarf so that they could be used to hold the scarf around my head

This is the finished product:

Found a recipe online for these delicious little pumpkin pies & decided to make a batch!
Also thought cherry would be great too for those who don't like pumpkin.

They're not perfect but they where delicious!

My wonderful husband got me a Volkswagen Bus for Christmas! I have always wanted one since I was little & always talked about my plans for what I would do once I got one! Well now I do!!!

(I added some more stickers)
(& a Philmore license plate)

It has some work to be done but my husband & I are making it happen! Already we have fixed the brakes, messed with the idling so that when you stop the bus at a light it doesn't die! lol (also when we originally stared the bus it was a two person job! One person had to start the bus with a screwdriver & the other had to crawl under the bus to connect two wires before it would start! This was the first problem we worked on! lol)  Just last night we were able to finish the installing of a second battery, one for the actual driving of the bus & the other for the camping when you need just the lights &/or radio! We have tinkered with other things & are still figuring how to install our solar panel to the top of the pop top part of our camper bus! We are working so hard to get it ready by the end of spring because we plan on living in it during the time we are moving from the mid west too the north west!

This just how much I love the 60's, 70's, & VWBs'!
I made a special pillow for our bus!

First stared with cutting out a circle from tie-die fleece
Then every two inches cut 3-4 inches into the edge towards the center

After that used a pattern online to make a patch VWB

Then glued (you can also sew) it onto one side of the pillow

Then started tying the edged together
Before I finished tying the two sides together I put one big bag of stuffing into the pillow

After tying the two sides together I cut out & glued a peace sign to the other side
(I did it after so I could line it up with the swirls, as you can see)

Finished Product:

I'll be working on at least two more posts about Halloween & Christmas! Thank you for reading!
